This is a pronghorn antelope. They're pretty common in the western US. You see them along the side of the road through the plains states. This guy was really accoustomed to people.
This is just a coyote but he looked really good in early morning light so we took a few shots. He was also very cooperative as he foraged for mice.
This is a a grey wolf walking across a meadow. There was a big buffalo at the other end of the meadow and the wolf was heading right towards it. I thought I would get some good predator/prey pictures but the 2000 lb. buffalo pretty much ignored the 150 lb. wolf. Wolves only attack buffalo when they are weak or injured and when the wolves are in a pack.
This is a bull elk in his prime during the rut. He kept bugling but no females showed up. Poor guy!! He has a pretty impressive rack don't you think??
Here's a young bull moose. He was really cooperative for us photographers. This was taken in Grand Teton Nat'l Park.
i love the pictures...cant wait to see what alaska looks like...drive carefully and enjoy..
